Erika Hallbourg, Fremantle Media says…
“With angst from her heart and passion from her soul, this little gal reminds us again its not just a boys club…Sarah Hethcoat is biting at the heels of other gals before her such as Liz Phair, Sheryl Crow, and Alanis Morrissette.”
Diane Burk, Sony/ATV Music Publishing says…
“With a mélange of lush melodies, catchy hooks and sharply honed pop sensibilities, Sarah Hethcoat’s debut EP is expertly crafted, danceable as more than just another insightful ingénue—she is a natural born artist and performer with a unique point of view.”
“…a live performance that would make anyone come back for more.” –Jonathan Kramm
Take Alanis Morissette, crank it up 10 notches and you might capture Sarah Hethcoat’s edgy vocals that will cut through every rocking beat of her incredible band like a serrated knife.
When I first saw Sarah perform her local show live at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA, I was blown away. On the stage was this striking young woman belting out her life story from the bottom of her soul. As soon as we were all singing along with her catchy lyrics, she took us down another path – one that searches deep within her past. “What’s this?” I thought. She’s suddenly performing alone on stage – just Sarah and her piano. Sarah captured everyone’s heart and then took us back up the mountain for a live performance that would make anyone come back for more. I know I will.
If your destination is Ontario, CA (ONT), don’t miss one of Sarah’s many Los Angeles-area shows scheduled in May/June. For more information about this artist, music and show times, please visit: sarahhethcoat.com or myspace.com/sarahscoats
